Materials Commonly Considered in a Package
Structural Timbers and Roof Components
Coordinate beams, posts, rafters, decking and other structural wood components required by the plans.
Windows and Exterior Doors
Specify sizes, operation, glazing, exterior finishes and product lines such as eligible Andersen and Therma-Tru components.
Trim and Supporting Materials
Review exterior trim, interior wood components, fasteners and other items included in the chosen level of package.
Traditional Solid Logs
Solid logs provide the classic character many owners expect. Timberhaven describes its solid-log products as kiln dried to a lower moisture content than green or air-dried alternatives. Profile, species, size and handling should be reviewed for the selected project.
Engineered Laminated Logs
Engineered logs are assembled from kiln-dried wood laminations to provide dimensional consistency and a lower average moisture target. They offer a different manufacturing approach while preserving a solid-wood log appearance.

What is included in a log home package?
Inclusions vary by design and written specification. Packages may include logs, structural timbers, roof components, windows, exterior doors and related materials. Always review the itemized package documents.
Is a package the same as a finished house?
No. A materials package is not the full cost of a completed home. Site work, foundation, labor, mechanical systems, interior finishes, permits, delivery conditions and other items must be budgeted separately unless specifically included.
What is the difference between solid and engineered logs?
Traditional solid logs and engineered laminated logs are manufactured differently and have different moisture targets and performance considerations. The right choice depends on the design, profile, appearance and package specifications.
Are windows and doors included?

How is delivery handled?
Delivery planning considers the production schedule, route, site access, unloading area, storage and protection. The responsibilities and equipment needed at delivery should be confirmed before shipment.
